This is an amazing antique five-light cast bronze chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, retaining its original polychrome finish with red and blue accents. The chandelier begins with a beautifully cast bronze loop finial, composed of volutes surrounding a blue shield with a red center. Five S-curved arms come down from the base of the finial, supporting magnificent bobeches with a leaf-and-dart border and a cutout pattern. The chandelier body is ornamented with a leaf-and-dart pattern and comes down in a graceful urn shape composed of an open design of red and blue shields surrounded by intricate volute designs. The chandelier finishes in a volute loop finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18” wide and 18 ½” tall, and the fixture is 37” long overall.
