Amazing antique inverted dome chandelier with a vaseline glass shade, dating from the 19th century. This light fixture begins with an understated canopy, extending down in a rod to a round pan and a ball finial with three chains attached by hooks. The chains and rod move down to support the lower chandelier body. The original vaseline glass shade, in its characteristic light yellow color, is a gorgeous inverted dome featuring a band around the upper lip with decorative shields and swag. This uncommon light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier is approximately 19-1/4" wide, 26-1/2" tall to the ball finial, and 43-1/2" long overall.
