Unusual antique figural Arts and Crafts five-light chandelier with monks' heads, c. 1905, salvaged out of Springfield, IL. This iron light fixture begins with a swirled canopy, coming down in decorative chain to a loop finial. Below, is a hammered globe with five decorative chains extending down to a wide circular band body. The hammered band features unique shields with the heads of grimacing monks. Centered between the figural heads are hanging lanterns with glass shades. The five lanterns feature hammered, sloped roofs and banding details across the glass shades. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The fixture measures approximately 27" wide, 33" tall, and 45-3/4" long overall.
