Wonderful antique five-light brass chandelier with foliate details and prisms, dating from the early 1900s. This Neoclassical fixture begins in a canopy with anthemion border, moving down in chain to a decorative loop finial. The baluster-shaped chandelier body features gadrooning and pierced details, with five curving leaves attached to the body with a square and oval bracket. These leafy trimmings each taper down to a U-shaped chandelier arm, curving back up to support a foliate bobeche. Smooth teardrop prisms hang from the bobeches and leaf overhangs, while the chandelier finishes in a tassel finial. This chandelier is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. The fixture measures 17-3/4" wide, 16-1/2" tall (body only), and 35-1/4" long overall.
