This is a wonderful antique five-light cast bronze chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, in its original magnificent polychrome finish with red and blue accents. The chandelier begins with a superbly cast bronze loop finial, composed of volutes surrounding a blue shield with a red center. Five smooth bands come down from the base of the finial, supporting the chandelier body. The crown-shaped chandelier body features an alternating pattern of crests and brilliant red pieces crowned with anthemia. The S-curved chandelier arms extend from below the crests, curving up and back down to support understated shade holders with squared shades. Five splendid cutout pieces converge at the underside of the chandelier, supporting a dangling shield-shaped finial with red and blue detail. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 20 ½†wide and 23 ½†tall, and the fixture is 41 ¾†long overall.
