A magnificent antique six-light Neoclassical theater light fixture with a glass shade, dating from the 1920’s. The chandelier begins with a beautiful canopy bordered in a laurel wreath, with urns and garlands below. It comes down in a chain to an acanthus loop atop a beautifully cast tassel, with acanthus leaves below. The chandelier body is ornamented with volutes and garlands of roses, with five lights around. The sixth light is enclosed in a splendid glass shade ornamented with leaf detail and ending in a tassel finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rim. The chandelier body measures 22” wide and 33” tall (body only), and the fixture is 55” long overall.
