This is a superb antique iron and bronze lantern, dating from the early 1900’s and made of iron and bronze with clear granite glass. This large four-light pendant begins with a canopy featuring a waved border, and comes down in a chain to a magnificent bronze trefoil. Below, curled iron bands come down to support the lantern, which is ornamented with foliate cutouts and florets. Four twisted iron bands, fastened with floret buttons at the top and bottom, run down each side of the lantern. The bottom of the lantern finishes in a bronze finial surrounded by a cluster of leaves. The chandelier is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The fixture has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The lantern body is 14 ½†wide and 50†long; the fixture is 77 ½†long overall.
