A splendid antique brass eight-light chandelier, originally half gas and half electric, and now completely wired for electricity. Dating from the late 19th Century, the chandelier begins with a sleek canopy, coming down in a pole to a cluster of leaves. The chandelier body features a smooth design, finished at the bottom with a medallion of acanthus leaves with an acorn finial. Four scroll-shaped chandelier arms, each holding a wheel-cut glass shade, extend from the chandelier, alternating with four arms featuring gadrooned bobeches and ring-shaped gas keys. This light fixture is in excellent condition. The shades are also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures 26-1/4†wide, approx. 15†tall (body only), and 41†long overall.
