Amazing antique art deco slip shade chandelier with original polychrome finish, dating from the 1930s. This five-light fixture begins with an ornate canopy, decorated with graphic and traditional art deco details. The canopy comes down in a chain, connecting to the upper body of the chandelier with a loop finial. The body of the chandelier is a gorgeous ziggurat design, with eye-catching red and yellow polychrome details. The lower body of the chandelier features scrolling foliage details with horizontal ribbing, interspersed with the original glass shades; these five slipper shades are ornamented with beautiful scroll and curlicue details. The bottom of the fixture features a design of overlapping leaves tapering down to an acorn finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the slipper shades, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier is 20" wide, 23" tall (body only), and 36" long overall.
