An amazing antique five-light Tudor chandelier with a shield design, dating from the 1920’s. This iron chandelier begins with a loop finial; five curled iron bands come down to form the chandelier body and flare out to become the chandelier arms. The bands are connected by cast iron crests, each surrounded by volute detail and topped with a crown. Each arm supports a volute bobeche hung with a finial; the finials are miniature repetitions of the motif connecting the arms, with a shield and a crown. The chandelier finishes in a dangling finial featuring a crest surrounded by a rope border. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19 ½†wide and 22†tall, and the fixture is 40†long overall.
