This is a beautiful antique four-tiered Neoclassical chandelier with its original prisms, dating from the 1920’s. This three-light “wedding cake†chandelier begins with a gadrooned canopy with volute detail, coming down in a chain to an intricate loop finial with volutes and feathery leaf detail. Intricately detailed bands support the chandelier body, which is ornamented with lattice detail, interspersed with volute wreaths that encircle dangling teardrop prisms. Below, the chandelier continues in four tiers of sparkling icicle prisms, and is finished in a smooth crystal ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 12†wide and 24†long; the fixture is 37†long overall.
