A wonderful antique Neoclassical five-light chandelier in its original silver plate over pewter, dating from the 1920’s. The chandelier begins with a beautifully cast, silver plated canopy ornamented with leaves, flowers, and reeds. Below, the chandelier body is crowned with a loop finial ornamented with volutes and leaves, below which a finely detailed baluster supports the chandelier body. The bobeches are connected to each other by volutes with an anthemion in the center. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18†wide and 16†tall, and the fixture is 32 ½†long overall. A matching chandelier is also available, item # NC928-RW.
