This is a splendid antique five-light Adam style chandelier, circa 1910, in its original, beautifully aged silver plate over brass, with teardrop prisms. The chandelier begins with a finely detailed silver plated canopy, coming down in a chain to a volute loop finial, atop a beautifully cast tassel accented with acanthus leaves. Below, a smooth chandelier body supports intricate arms with acanthus detail; each arm supports a silver plated bobeche with a leaf-and-dart border and a sleek teardrop prism. The chandelier finishes in a dangling tassel finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18 ¾†wide and 20†tall, and the fixture is 38†long overall.
