An amazing antique five-light chandelier with prisms, in its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. The chandelier begins with a gadrooned canopy with turquoise accents, coming down in a chain to a ribbed volute finial with red accents. A rope-like rod runs down the center of the chandelier body, surrounded by curled bands accented with acanthus leaves and hung with sleek teardrop prisms. The underside of the chandelier is ornamented with scrolls and features a scalloped edge; five chandelier arms extend from the underside to hold bobeches hung with prisms. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18” wide and 26” tall (body only), and the fixture is 43-1/2” long overall.
