This is a wonderful antique iron five-light chandelier in its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. This Tudor chandelier begins with a polychrome canopy with a pattern of flowers and leaves, and comes down in a chain to a volute loop finial accented with a pair of inverted hearts. A cutout baluster section with polychrome detail runs the length of the chandelier body, surrounded by wrought iron bands fastened with red floral buttons. The bands flare out at the bottom of the chandelier to form the arms; each supports a bobeche formed of petals with red edges. The chandelier finishes in a pear-shaped finial with polychrome flowers. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 16†wide and 17 ½†tall, and the fixture is 36 ½†long overall. A similar three-light chandelier is also available, item # NC618.
