This is a wonderful antique Spanish Revival five-light chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, in iron and brass. The chandelier begins with a fantastic crenelated canopy, coming down in a chain to an intricately cast brass finial. Below, a twisted rod and beautifully detailed brass brackets support the chandelier body. The brackets feature elegant scroll detail and paterae. Cast iron chandelier arms ornamented with bellflowers and volutes support crenelated bobeches with finials, and the arms are connected by bands of decorative detail. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 17” wide and 17” tall, and the fixture is 33” long overall.
