A wonderful antique iron and brass five-light chandelier, made and signed by Markel Electric Products (M.E.P.) in the 1920’s. The chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with leaves, coming down in a chain to a loop finial surrounded by triads of leaves. The chandelier body is formed by iron bands, accented with clusters of brass leaves, with a twisted rod running down the center of the chandelier. Each chandelier arm holds a faux-riveted bobeche with a brass leaf finial below. Between each arm is a brass leaf appliqué. The chandelier finishes in a dangling finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 19-1/2” wide and 24-1/2” tall, and the fixture is 40” long overall.
