This is a very large antique nine-tier Neoclassical chandelier with its original prisms, circa 1910. This six-light “wedding cake†chandelier begins with a beautifully ornamented canopy, coming down in a chain to a finely cast loop finial with flowers, volutes, and acanthus. The finial connects to a baluster ornamented with roses in an urn, with acanthus leaves. The chandelier body is ornamented with a laurel garland. Below, the chandelier continues in nine tiers of sparkling icicle prisms, and is finished in a faceted crystal ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 22†wide and 23†long; the fixture is 54†long overall.
