A beautiful antique five-light chandelier with prisms, circa 1910, in its original silver plate finish over brass. The chandelier, made and signed by Williamson, is crowned with a gorgeous acanthus loop finial, coming down into a gadrooned section with an intricate rope border. Five slender, reeded arms extend from the underside of the chandelier body, alternating with sparkling icicle prisms. The underside is ornamented with delicate grapevines, and extends downward in feathery foliate detail. The chandelier is finished in a long, intricately cast finial with foliate and grape detail. Each arm of the chandelier supports a cutout bobeche with a foliate pattern, hung with prisms. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 17-1/2†wide and 13†tall, and the overall length of the chandelier is 30â€.
