This is a fantastic vintage four-light chandelier, featuring strands of beads and red polychrome accents. The chandelier begins with a simple black canopy with a scalloped edge, coming down in a chain to a large ring. The ring, accented at the bottom with foliate appliqués, attaches to a pole that extends the length of the entire chandelier body. Just below the ring, the pole is encircled by a broad, crown-like design, featuring an egg-and-dart pattern and foliate detail. Four strands of round black beads, in graduated size, run to the bottom of the chandelier. Each strand is highlighted by a wooden bead with a red faceted bead on either side. A wide black band, matching the one at the top and ornamented with a foliate border, runs around the pole at the bottom. Four intricate foliate bobeches with red accents extend from the band, holding their original candle covers with red highlights. This light fixture is in very good condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier has a pull-chain switch at the bottom. The chandelier body measures 19†wide and 37 ½†tall, and the fixture is 47 ½†long overall.
