A magnificent antique three-tier semi-flush mount chandelier in its original silver plate with original prisms, dating from the 1920’s. This six-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with a foliate design; the chandelier body is ornamented with anthemia, volutes, and flowers in a band supporting the first tier of prisms. Five chandelier arms are fastened to the band, each holding a silver plated bobeche with a Greek key border, hung with prisms. Below, the chandelier has three tiers of sparkling “icicle” prisms, and is finished in a smooth crystal ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier is 18” wide and 17 ½” long.
