This is a fabulous antique two-light chandelier, dated September 23, 1898, which retains its original wonderful japanned finish. The chandelier starts with a simple copper flashed canopy and comes down in a sleek pole, which ends in a flared, ribbed center. The two arms curve out from the center, each forming a loop and ending in a beautiful Sheffield-style shade. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rim. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 22" wide and 43" tall; the chandelier body only is 9" tall.
