This is a magnificent, very rare pair of antique large cast bronze door backplates, circa 1900. Measuring almost two feet long, these plates feature amazing detail. The top and bottom of each door plate is ornamented with a fantastic cast bronze anthemion with delicate cutouts, and the plates are bordered in an intricate leaf-and-dart pattern. The plates are in very good antique condition with an incredible patina; each measures 23 ¼†long and 3 ¼†wide.
