Remarkable, hard-to-find figural cast bronze doorplates in P. & F. Corbin's "Empire" pattern, marked with an 1889 patent date. Each doorknob backplate features an inner panel of scrolling foliage and two figural beasts at the bottom. The plate's four corners feature fabulous sunburst detail.
