Hard-to-find antique cast bronze figural rearing lion doorknob sets salvaged from the Stevens Hotel in Chicago, IL, built in 1927 (now known as the Hilton Chicago). These oversized figural door knobs feature a splendid lion surrounded by an intricately cast laurel wreath, with matching laurel wreaths on the escutcheons. The doorknobs measure 2-1/2†in diameter and 2†deep; the roses are 2-3/8†in diameter. Each set includes a pair of escutcheons and a pair of large door knobs with the connecting spindle and set screws (enough hardware for one door).
