A fabulous complete working thumb-latch set for an exterior door, made and signed by Russwin in the “Tolland†design, dating from the 1920’s or 1930’s. Made of brass, this door hardware set comes with its split-system lock, the handle with thumb latch, doorknob, striker, two-part spindle, and backplate. The cast brass handle features a distinctive design at the top and bottom, with a matching decorative escutcheon for the lock cylinder. The inside of the set features a simple, round doorknob escutcheon with a thumb-turn and a smooth brass knob. The handle measures 9-3/8†by 2-1/4â€, the doorknob rosette is 2-1/4†in diameter, and the doorknob is 2†in diameter and 2†deep. The thumb turn is 1-1/8†by 1-5/8â€. The lock faceplate measures 7-3/8†by 1â€. If desired, we can replace the brass knob with a glass one for a small additional cost.
