This is a splendid antique cast bronze double pocket door set in a variation of Lockwood’s “Broken Leaf†pattern, patent dated August 10, 1886, and designed for a pair of double doors. The set features four cast bronze plates, ornamented with an urn of flowers at the bottom, with floral and geometric designs throughout. One pair of plates has a keyhole; the other pair features a floret in its place. The locks feature bronze faceplates the asymmetrical “Broken Leaf†design, featuring an urn on one side and a tri-lobal leaf on the other, with vine and leaf detail above. The locks function beautifully. The doorplates are in excellent condition; the locks are in very good antique condition with some minor wear to the catch on one of the locks (pictured). The plates measure 2 1/8†wide, 5 1/8†tall, and 5/8†deep overall; the locks are 3 7/8†deep overall, the faceplate is 6 ¾†tall and 1 ¼†wide, and the box portion of each lock is 4 ½†tall.
