An antique cast iron doorknob set by Mallory, Wheeler, & Co., circa 1882, with cast iron escutcheons, doorknob number K-227 in Leonard Blumin’s classification guide. These Eastlake doorknobs feature an eightfold star-like flower design in the center, surrounded by geometric detail and a zigzag border that is repeated on the back of each doorknob. The rosettes feature a matching design. The set includes one pair of doorknobs and the two matching escutcheons as pictured. Each knob is 2 ¼†in diameter and 2†deep; the rosettes are 2†in diameter.
