A superb antique Eastlake cast bronze entrance door hardware set, featured in Branford Lock Works’ 1886 catalog. The lock is signed “B.L.W.” The doorknobs feature a nicely cast twofold design with bamboo across the middle, with leaves and stylized flowers. The plates are ornamented with leaves, a fan, and abstract geometric detail, with a distinctive diamond-shaped collar for the doorknob. The mortise lock has a decorative faceplate that coordinates with the plates and knobs. The set includes the doorknobs with the connecting spindle and set screws, a pair of doorplates, and a mortise lock. This door hardware set is in excellent condition. The larger doorknob is 2-1/2” in diameter and 1-7/8” deep; the smaller doorknob is 2-1/4” diameter and 1-3/4” deep. The plates are 1-3/4” by 6-1/2”. The lock has a faceplate 1” by 5-3/8”, and a 2-3/4” backset.
