A fantastic antique cast bronze “Broken Leaf†exterior door hardware set by Lockwood Manufacturing Company. Patented in 1886, this sought-after door hardware features an unusual asymmetrical design of a vase of flowers, surrounded by foliage with bent stems. This set features a decorative mortise lock with the matching double-keyhole door plate, rosette, thumb turn, and keyhole escutcheon. It was paired with a black porcelain (or “black jetâ€) doorknob with an unusual decorative shank. The door knob is 2-1/8†wide and 2†deep; the backplate is 6-15/16†by 1-3/4; the rose is approx. 2-1/6†in diameter; and the keyhole cover is 1-1/16†by 1-3/4â€. The lock has a faceplate 6-3/4†long and 1-1/16†wide, with a 2-11/16†backset.
