A gorgeous antique entry doorknob set in the “Baltic†pattern by Barrows. This design was produced from about 1900 until sometime in the 1920’s. It features a fourfold doorknob design with looped leaves and vines reminiscent of a Celtic knot; the plates are ornamented with scrolls, acanthus leaves, and a bellflower garland. The hardware has a gorgeous patina with verdigris. This entry set includes a pair of doorknobs with the connecting spindle, a mortise lock with lock cylinder, and two doorplates. The larger door knob is 2-1/2†diameter and 2-3/8†deep; the smaller knob is 2-1/4†diameter and 2-1/4†deep. The lock has an approx. 2-3/4†backset, and its faceplate is 6-7/8†by 1-3/16â€. The exterior doorplate is 2-5/8†by 11-3/4â€, and the interior plate is 8†by 2-1/16â€. The lock cylinder has some roughness around the outside edge (and can very easily be replaced if you wish); everything else is in good shape.
