Complete sets of antique Eastlake door hardware in Reading Hardware’s “Montello†pattern. Each set includes the pair of door knobs with connecting spindle, two backplates, and a decorative mortise lock (enough hardware for one door). Dating from the 1890’s, this door hardware features drum-shaped doorknobs with a stylized leaf design; the doorplates feature a coordinating design with stylized leaves. According to the Reading Hardware catalog, the Montello pattern and Windsor pattern used the same decorative lock, ornamented with geometric details and stylized leaves. The doorknobs are 2 ¼†in diameter and 2†deep, and the backplates are 1 ¾†wide and 5 ½†long. The faceplate of the lock measures 5 1/4†by 7/8†with a 2 ½†backset.
