Huge vintage cut glass centerpiece bowl, from the estate of a 93 year old collector. Probably American, dating to the early 20th century.Measures11 1/4inches accross at widest point and 6 3/8inches high.Very thick glass, cut deeply with radiating miters. Bottom is round with deep facets that flare up and out to an oval, dipping in height on the sides. The long, elegant v-shaped cuts all the way up are embellished only with fine cross cutting, echoed in the vertical parrallel lines cut along the margin, called a blaze / fringe. 18-pointed star underneath.
