A lovely rare pair of blown glass candlesticks with a lot of work into them!
Bases are pattern molded, blown in a ribbed mold then turned to create a swirl effect. Candle cups are blown separately and applied to the bases with the rims expanded and crimped all around and handles applied. Rough pontil scars to bases and lots of small bubbles in glass. Each is about 5 ½†tall x 4†wide. Most probably made during the 1950’s at one of the Virginia glass houses such as Rainbow. Both perfect! Rare pair!
