What a treat it was for me to come across this little jewel. In the years that I've been collecting glassware, I believe that this is the first Tiffin cruet I've seen.Presented for your consideration is this #179 oil with the lovely Thistle etching. This pattern was produced by Tiffin from 1920 to 1934.The cruet measures approximately 6 1/4" in height with the stopper in place and should have a capacity of about 3 1/2 ounces. It is in excellent condition...free of nicks, chips or cracks. There is some slight "scratching" where the stopper fits, but that is pretty much the norm with these pieces. Really a beautiful and hard to find piece.
