This is one of my favorite hard-to-find etches, and the only reason this vase is being offered for sale is that I have one extra one! The Dunn's Parrot etch is one of the most elegant etchings done in the depression era, and very difficult to find, appearing on only a few glass items. The 10" tall amber bud vase is attributed to the Central Glass Works and is probably their No. 13201/168 blank. Central closed in 1939 so that is the last possible production date for this etching. The parrot etching and decorative bower are gold encrusted, with no wear noted on the encrusted etch. There is minor gold wear on the rim and moderate gold wear on the foot band. The glass has no chips, flakes, cracks, or fleabites, and the glass is very clear. The book value for this item is $125. The unboxed weight of this vase is 1/3 lb.Please contact Bruce at Solarbearz@gmail.com to ask for exact shipping costs to your zip code, or if you have questions on this listing. Shipping price quoted will be actual shipping charges and insurance, no handling fees are added.
