Produced by Richards & Hartley circa the 1880's, I am pleased to be offering this lovely etched, covered compote.From their #525 pattern line, this is the Lion & Cable, also known as Tiny Lion, 7" covered compote. It features a cable trimmed foot, etched lid, and the signature frosted lion finial.Overall, the piece is in very, very good condition. It is free of any nicks, chips or cracks and has only some signs of usage on the base which are not too bad considering the age of the piece. It is 7" in diameter and stands 8 1/2" at the highest point with the lid seated. Beautiful old piece!
