Czechoslovakian perfume / scent bottle with intaglio carved figural group. In original fitted box. Made Bohemia late 19th century. Measures 5 1/4inches high. Unusual, flattened and faceted shape of bottle. Good quality, thick, transparent glass. The faceted stopper is intaglio cut with an 18th century Watteau style scene of courting lovers, sitting on a flowered grassy patch and holding hands. The same stopper is shown on page 32 of ''Czechoslovakian Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories'' J Jones-North et al. The front of the bottle has an original lable in embossed gold with red and green, reading: O''SHANA Reg CAPE BLOSSOM. Comes in original box with delicate gilt clasp. The inside has a silk lined lid and the fitted bottom is dark blue velvet. Good condition.
