Pair of jewelled copper over glass perfume / scent bottles. French or Czechoslovakian, probably date to early 20th century - Arts and Crafts period. Each bottle is approx 5 3/8 inches high. Hexagonal body on 4 ball feet. Glass is mounted in copper. Each copper panel is set with deep blue stones (deeper than in the ''photos) and alternating panels with applied openwork shield decoration. Rim of copper is set with a ring of blue stones. The surface is handhammered/tooled. Bottom of copper mounts differs: one has snake-skin texture while the other has a raised floral decoration. The glass narrows sharply to a long, faceted neck, ending in a gold band and rim. Faceted stoppers. Condition: generally very good. There are some minor chips on the stoppers and the gilding has very slight wear, but is in superior condition considering it''s age.
