These are really interesting pieces! I've learned that these are Murano glass, blown in the early 1950's. They were basically produced for the tourist trade after the war. The scene on the nappies, which is a light silver overlay, appears to depict a view from the sea of St. Mark's Square in Venice.Approximately 4 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/4" in height, these would be great for setting nuts or mints around the house when entertaining. They'd also be ideal for dipping sauces. The nappies are a rich, warm, almost honey amber color and all are in excellent condition. Very nice!
