Venetian style glass fish, possibly Murano glass, bright coloured specks in a white ground. Clear fins and gills. Great example of the glass blower’s art — this fish is hollow inside, just white glass walls. New Zealand Hokitika Glass also made a fish like this, so may be one of theirs or could be Venetian. Fish is a trout, and measures 15.5 cm high, 37.5 cm long, and 11.5 cm wide at the widest point. He has white glass applied eyes and a pontil glass plug on his belly. Excellent condition.
