Rossler Bohemian enamelled vase with jester / harlequin. 19th century. Measures 7 1/2inches tall.Fluted body of turquoise glass. Round, flattened base, wide tubular sides and frilly rim, turned over and folded with a transparent, slightly gilded edge. Against a typical stencil gilded background stands a richly enamelled harlequin / jester in front of an enamelled berry bush. Sword behind his back. Very fine workmanship and fabulous quality enamelling.Glass is in good shape with no chips/cracks of any sort. Gilding on the rim is poor, but this does not detract from the vase.
