Large and very heavy - a very good quality crystal bowl from Stuart of England, rings like a bell. Diagonal abstract noughts and crosses design. Design looks circa 1960s, although could be a lot earlier. It has a lot of age wear, so maybe as early as 1930s. Under the base has scuffs, indicating age and usage. Inside the bottom of the bowl are lots of scratches and wear. Probably used as a large-gathering salad bowl. Conical bowl measures 33 cm diameter at the top and 16 cm high. No chips or cracks.
(Stuart Crystal, after being bought out by Wedgwood/Waterford in 1995, and closed 6 years later, so sadly is no longer with us).
