For Sale I have an Outstanding Vase made by Wilhelm Kralik Sohn of Eleonorenhain Bohmen (Bohemia) which is now the modern day "Czech Republic". I call this Pattern "Blue Waves" and It is very similar to a Loetz Phanomen decoration. The Vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 5 1/4" tall and is 3 5/8" in diameter at the base. The top has a diameter of 2" outside diameter. The Vase display a wonderful Wave Pattern that is done in a Blue Glass. The main or base color of the Glass is Clear and it has wonderful deep rich Textured Gold Iridescence. The Texture of the Gold iridescence runs vertical cal along with the Waves running horizontally give this piece a Striking Appearance. The Shape is European all the way. It resembles a Gourd with an extended Flared Neck. When unlit the iridescence glows as you can see beautiful Purples, Blues and Fuchsia. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The Vase is not signed but it does have a wonderful nicely polished top rim and No polished Pontil. All vases are blown from the top. Pontil marks have nothing to do with which end of the glass it was blown from. The pontil is from the punty rod being attached when a piece had to go into the glory hole for additional work IE finished rim or additional decoration. This decoration has kind of a Deco Style to it. If you collect works of Austrian Jugendstil Art Nouveau glass, or American Art Glass by Tiffany and Steuben, please consider this work of art. This Vase will certainly become a conversation piece for discussion. This is a quality piece of Art Glass and I'm sure the Buyer will not be disappointed. This Vase was made Circa 1905-1920.
