This is a fabulous antique carved pine door with American stained glass, dating from the turn of the century. It features a clear center panel, surrounded by a border of gorgeous blue granite glass, with squares of an unusual violet glass. The violet glass is patterned with an unusual Celtic knot design, composed of interlocked circles with starbursts. Below the glass is a row of six carved squares, each with a center of five berries with four small leaves framed with four large trefoils. The bottom of the door is finished with a pair of vertical rectangular panels. The door is in very good antique condition, with very slight damage to each of the bottom corners (pictured) which does not affect the beauty of the piece. It has been stripped and is ready to accept a finish. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The door measures 37 ¼†wide, 96†tall, and 1 3/8†thick; the glass measures 29 ½†wide and 50†tall.
