A Monumental 6 Panel German Stained Glass Windows by Mayer of Munich
Scenes from the Life of St. Barnabas and the Resurrection Titled: BARNABAS GIVES UP HIS POSSESSIONS, ACTS IV, 37, BARNABAS EXHORTING THE CHRISTIANS, ACTS XI, THEY PREACHED JESUS AND THE RESURRECTION, BARNABAS BRINGS IN SAUL TO THE APOSTLES, SEPARATE ME AND BARNABAS AND SAUL FOR THE WORK.
These scenes are based on the life of the apostles. The leaded glass windows are carried out in classic glass painting techniques, free-blown glass with Schwarzlot painting, Schwarzlot overlay and Inkarnat paints, dabbed and wiped.
Signed: MAYER A. CI. MUNICH, with a monogram in the 4th window, fourth quarter 19th century.
