This is a beautiful antique Neoclassical mantel, made of cherry and dating from the 1920’s. A beveled panel runs across the mantel, flanked by elegant oval paterae with beaded borders. Below each patera is a fluted column. This fireplace mantel is in very good antique condition, with a gorgeous finish. It has some minor cracks in the paterae (pictured) which are hardly noticeable and do not detract from the beauty of the piece. The mantel measures 60 ½†tall, 60†wide, and 11†deep, and has a firebox opening 41 ½†wide and 40 ¼†tall.
