A wonderful antique boxed newel post with white paint, dating from the late 19th century. The newel is crowned by a spherical newel post cap accented with round rosettes below. The body below features grooved stripes and edges with a bead-and-reel design. The newel post is in very good antique condition with minor wear and chips as shown. This box newel measures 7-3/8†wide and approx. 54†tall.
