Three-part Screen. Black; gold leaf; white. Paper; wood; brass. The three panels are held with double brass hinges and are covered with heavy black paper. Each of the three panels are hand painted in white and gold leaf with black outlines. The central design is a large torch with wings which is encircled with an olive branch wreath. Beneath the torch is a swag of leaves wrapped with ribbon and tied with bows at each end. Each paned is outlined with a white line, one inch from the edge. Outside the line are gold leaf, five point stars.
