This magnificent French tole-lined jardiniere is finely realized in elaborate marquetry inlaid with metals, lacquer and mother-of-pearl. In splendid condition, the piece has fine ormolu mounts and handles; the liner is removable. Circa 1860, Louis XIV sub-style, the planter is approximately 17-1/2 inches wide by 11-1/2 inches deep by eight inches tall.
